theGo4eCAM project.

Her Excellency Mrs. TEKRETH Kamrang, Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce, representing His Excellency PAN Sorasak, Minister of Commerce has presided over the training workshop on “Introducing Export Readiness & Cross-Border E-Commerce” for 100 Small and Medium Enterprises under the Go4eCAM project, which was held at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh.
The training workshop on “Introducing Export Readiness & Cross Border E-Commerce” was organized in collaboration with Ministry of Commerce, UNDP Cambodia and Khmer Enterprise in purpose of providing additional training for SMEs under the Go4eCAM including SMEs participating in Incubation Programme, Innovation Challenge and especially for CambodiaTrade onboarded SMEs, to further strengthen their capacity to be fully prepared for highly competitive export through cross-border e-commerce, especially with CambodiaTrade to export Cambodian-made products to international markets.
To begin, Her Excellency expressed a warm welcome to the presence of Khmer Enterprise, UNDP Cambodia, and representatives of all Small and Medium Enterprises under the Go4eCAM project in the attendance. Her Excellency also highlighted the importance and appreciation of the private sector and cooperation partners, especially UNDP Cambodia, which has always supported and is an important development partner of the Royal Government of Cambodia, especially the Ministry of Commerce in promoting trade in Cambodia.
On this occasion, Her Excellency has highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia's national policy to capture the digital economy, including: Digital Economy and Social Policy Framework of Cambodia 2021-2035, and the Strategic framework and programs for economic recovery and to promote Cambodia's economic growth in living with COVID-19 in the new normal for 2021-2023, in response to the industrial context 4.0 and the rapid growth of digital technology in the context of Covid-19. Her Excellency also highlighted the key achievements of Ministry of Commerce in adopting regulations and strategies to promote digital economy in line with national policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia,including E-Commerce Law, Cambodia Trade Integration Strategy 2019-2023, E-Commerce Strategy, and other policy frameworks.
With closing remarks, Her Excellency, Secretary of State expressed thanks to representatives of Small and Medium Enterprises for both in person and online participation of the workshop, and special thanks to UNDP Cambodia, and Khmer Enterprise (KE) for co-organizing the event for SMEs to raise awareness, best prepare for export and take advantage of e-commerce and digital economy.
